Northern Lights Estate Winery (NLEW) received city councils support in response to its development variance permit. The planned winery which is to be built at 746 PG Pulpmill Rd. will feature an orchard, a wine shop, and outdoor event facilities. The planned winery will specialize in fruit wines made from onsite and primarily locally purchased hardy apples, haskap, gooseberry, hardy cherry, raspberry, black current, and rhubarb.
The Facility will be built approximaly 30 meters from the Nechako River and overlook a beautiful Orchard. Thanks to city councils decision the facility should be constructed in 2014 and will be available to the public by summer of 2015. Previous work has already started on the property including the planting of over 2200 fruit and berry plants which will be used for future wine production.

This spectacular facility will highlight wood architectural features as well as a modern feel that will truly represent the Prince George area both past and present. Located at the base of the cut banks on PG Pulpmill Rd., the 4.2 acre property includes 240 feet of riverfront on the Nechako River. NLEW is only 1 minutes from the Cameron st. Bridge and only a 7 minute drive from downtown Prince George.
NLEW is a division of Family Fast Foods Ltd., which opened its first Wendy’s restaurant in 1988 in Prince George, BC and continues to operate both Wendy’s in Prince George today. It locally employs over 80 residents and contributes over $30,000 to local events and organizations each year.
